Outdoor Track Runs Well at New Balance; Ready for ECAC's

New Balance NYC Qualifying Challenge - Icahn Stadium - Randalls Island

Randalls Island, N.Y. - Chris Okolie placed third in the Discus Throw with a personal best throw of 48.64m (159' 7") to improve his National provisional qualifying performance. Chris is currently #2 in the ECAC and #13 on the National performance list. He is #3 on the All-Time Farmingdale list.

Reuben Hairston placed 5th in the Long Jump with an ECAC and National provisional qualifying jump of 7.00m (22' 11 3/4"). This is a personal best for Reuben who is ranked #8 on the All-Time Farmingdale list.

The men's and women's team added three new ECAC Qualifiers and had six personal bests in the meet.

Chris Herbst - 110m High Hurdles, 15.12, #5 on All-Time list; 400m Intermediate Hurdles, 56.32, #7 on All-Time list; both new personal bests and improves his ECAC Qualifiers.

Gregory Denis - 400m Internmediate Hurdles, 56.69, #10 on All-Time list, new personal best, ECAC Qualifier.

Keisha Miller - Long Jump, 5.04m (16' 6 1/2"), #8 on All-Time list, new personal best, ECAC Qualifier.

Alexandra Smith - Triple Jump, 10.67m (35' 1/4"), #4 on All-Time list, ECAC Qualifier.

Alex Rubino - Discus, 43.33m (142' 2"), new personal best, improves ECAC Qualifying performance.

John Bates - 400m, 51.75, new personal best.

Teresa Cox - 400m, 64.07, #7 on All-Time list, new personal best.

The ECAC Championships will be held Thursday and Friday, May 15-16, at Springfield College in Springfield, Mass. The men's and women's track and field team have qualified 15 people in 20 individual events and 2 relays.
