Farmingdale State sophomore pitcher/infielder Lauren Poplawski (Levittown, N.Y./Island Trees) was named the Skyline Conference Pitcher of the Week for softball on Monday, March 24th. Poplawski helped the Rams wrap up an impressive 11-3 spring trip (Farmingdale went 11-14 last season). In three starts last week (20 innings), Poplawski went 2-1 with a 0.45 ERA. She picked up victories over Grinnell and Hamilton. The only loss, which also came against Hamilton, was a result of three unearned runs.
