Farber and Zino Named to ECAC Metro Players of the
Week
Cape Cod, Mass. - Sophomore shortstop Nicole
Farber (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot) and freshman pitcher Hope Zino
(Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) were named the ECAC Division III Metro
Region Player and Co-Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday, April 8th.
Farber hit a team-high three home runs in a 4-0 week for the Rams,
while batting .562 with six runs scored and five RBI. In the second
game of a doubleheader with Mount Saint Vincent, the sophomore went
5-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and three runs scored. She
currently has 10 home runs on the year.
Zino went 2-0 this week allowing no earned runs and striking out
16, improving her record to 10-0 and her ERA to 1.02. She tossed a
nine-strikeout complete game in a win over Drew before throwing
five scoreless innings in a win over Mount Saint Vincent.
