Poplawski and Keenan Named Player/Rookie of the Week

Lauren Poplawski (Levittown, N.Y./Island Trees) was named Skyline
Conference Player of the Week and freshman outfielder Kaitlin
Keenan (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) was named Rookie of the Week
for softball on Monday, May 4th.
Poplawski batted .667 in the Skyline Conference tournament, going a combined 4-for-6 with three runs scored and an RBI in the Rams’ two games - both wins. Poplawski was the only Farmingdale player to record multiple hits in both games. She enters the NCAA tournament with a .417 batting average.
Keenan was swinging a hot bat for the Rams in the Skyline Conference tournament. In two games, Keenan batted .375 (3-for-8) with a triple, home run, three runs scored and six runs batted in. She went 2-for-4 with a triple and 3 RBI against Mount Saint Mary, and then drilled a 3-run home run in a 5-0 win over Old Westbury.
