Coach: Chris Mooney (11th season)

Coach Chris Mooney has been coaching the women's softball team since 2003. He holds a career coaching record of 199-127 and has led the Rams to three Skyline Conference Championships (2009, 2011, 2012) and one ECAC Metro Region Championship (2010).

In 2008, Mooney was named the Skyline Co-Coach of the Year as his team had a record-breaking season with a 32-12 record and making the first-ever appearances in both Skyline and ECAC postseason play.

That season was bested in 2010, as the team went 34-11 and won their first ECAC Championship. The Rams were seeded third for the double-elimination Tournament and defeated Hunter in the Quarterfinals, before posting a 4-3 victory over second-seed Richard Stockton. Facing the top-seed Ramapo, Farmingdale notched a 3-2 come from behind victory to advance to the Championship, where they again defeated Richard Stockton, 2-0, to claim the title.

In 2009, the Rams won their first-ever Conference Championship with a program-best 34-6 record. After receiving the conferences' automatic bid to their first-ever NCAA Tournament, the Rams were ranked 6th in the Atlantic Region. The team fell to Rowan in game one, defeated Muhlenberg 4-1 and Moravian 3-1, and fell to Rowan 3-0 in their final game of the double-elimination Tourney.

Coach Mooney received his Bachelors Degree in Sociology from SUNY New Paltz. Mooney is also the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Farmingdale State.
