Since college, Adam has been a part-time tennis pro and was the head coach of the boy's and girl's tennis team at Plainedge High School from 1989-2006. Starting in 2002, he has been the Director of three annual summer tennis camps through Long Island Sports Camps.

Coach Waterhouse currently serves as the Coordinator of the Science Department at Plainedge High School and teaches college level Biology. He resides in Massapequa Park with his wife, Denise, and three kids, Joseph, Katie and Matthew.
