Junior Oshea Davis (Hempstead, N.Y./Freeport) was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week for women's tennis on Monday, October 1st.

Led by Davis, Farmingdale State College - a first-year program - has won two straight matches to climb to fifth place in the Skyline Conference standings. Davis is unbeaten at first singles for the upstart Rams. She recorded victories in all three of her singles matches last week to improve to 4-0. Davis won in straight sets against St. Joseph's and Polytechnic. After dropping her opening set against Russell Sage, Davis rallied for a 6-7, 6-4, 6-1 victory in a match that proved to be the difference in a 5-4 team victory for Farmingdale State.

The Skyline Conference Weekly Reports for fall sports are announced by the Conference on Monday nights. Reports (including players of the week and statistics) are available to view on the Skyline website at www.skylineconference.org.
