Women Improve to 2-0 in the Skyline after Defeating Manhattanville

The Rams defeated Manhattanville College 66-56 in todays home Skyline Conference game. Farmingdale improved to 3-2, 2-0 Skyline, while the Valiants fell to 1-4, 0-1 Skyline. Manhattanville was plagued by turnovers with 36 as the Rams tallied 20 steals. Angela Williams (New York, NY/Murry Bergtraum) and Sharon Billips (Brooklyn, NY/John Jay) combined for 20 points in the first half to give the Rams a 29-23 lead. Billips finished with game highs of 18 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks. Williams totaled 16 points, including three three’s.

Farmingdale freshman I'shawna West (Hempstead, NY/Hempstead) contributed 14 points and Kristen Tong (Swanzey, NH/Monadnock Regional) finished with a game-high seven steals. Caress Lovelace (Brooklyn, NY/Benjamin Banneker) had nine rebounds (8 offensive) and seven points.

For the Valiants, Beth Hickey (Dobbs Ferry, NY/Dobbs Ferry) led the team with 17 points and was 3-for-8 from three point land. Kait Herman (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield) finished with a double-double of 10 points and 11 defensive rebounds. Kim Reznicek (Dobbs Ferry, NY/Dobbs Ferry) finished with 12 points and 5 assists.

The Rams host Merchant Marine in a conference double-header on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. The men host Manhattanville at 8:00 p.m.
