Women’s Basketball Improves to 10-4 Overall

The women’s basketball team traveled to John Jay College for a non-conference game on Sunday afternoon. Farmingdale State had a 41-19 lead at the half and never looked back to improve to a 10-4 overall record. Senior Sharon Billips (Brooklyn, NY/John Jay) was the high scorer for the Rams with 22 points. Sophomore Jenea Lockley (Roslyn, NY/Roslyn) finished with 10 rebounds, 7 points and 3 blocks for Farmingdale.

Junior Angela Williams (New York, NY/Murry Bergtraum) had 16 points and went 4-for-7 from three-point range. Junior Kristen Tong (Swanzey, NH/Monadnock Reg.) led the team in assists with eight and contributed 13 points. Freshman I’shawna West (Hempstead, NY/Hempstead) totaled 15 points and six assists.

John Jay was led by Julianne Dixon with 14 points and Loveth Ogude with 14 rebounds.

The Rams face Stevens Institute for a 6:00 pm Skyline conference game in Hoboken, New Jersey on Wednesday, January 19th.
