Farmingdale State Wins 20th Game of Season

The Rams moved to 20-4 on the season with a 93-60 victory over visiting New York City College of Technology (12-11). Farmingdale used a 22-5 run in the first half to go up 18 points with seven minutes remaining. The Rams led 48-27 at the half and would hold the lead throughout for their final victory in regular season play. Senior’s Sharon Billips (Brooklyn, NY/John Jay), Taisha Roberts (Manhattan, NY/Murry Bergtraum) and Shakeema Speaks (Jersey City, NJ/Lincoln) played in their final regular season home game for the Rams.

Freshman I’shawna West (Hempstead, NY/Hempstead) led Farmingdale with 20 points and six rebounds. Billips (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) finished with 19 points, seven boards and three blocks.

The Yellow Jackets were led by Camille Manning (Queens, NY/W.C. Bryant) with game-highs of 26 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 10-of-12 from the charity stripe. Nicola Clarke (Queens, NY/John Adams) contributed 12 points for City Tech.

The Rams will begin the Skyline Playoffs on Tuesday, February 22nd at home at 6:00pm - opponent to be announced over the weekend. Farmingdale is currently the #2 seed in the women’s bracket.
