Women’s Basketball Takes WIAC Championship for 3rd Consecutive Season

The Rams defeated the College of St. Elizabeth’s on Tuesday night 90-44 to improve to 19-4, 4-0 in the WIAC (Women’s Intercollegiate Athletic Conference). Farmingdale State is now the WIAC Champions for the third consecutive season. Senior Sharon Billips (Brooklyn, NY/John Jay) nearly completed a triple-double as she led the Rams with 28 points, seven rebounds, nine assists and three blocks. Junior Angela Williams (New York, NY/Murry Bergtraum) finished with 12 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks for Farmingdale, while Freshman Dankery Perez (Manhattan, NY/Manhattan Center) finished with a season-high 11 assists, along with four steals.

St. Elizabeth’s Mary Kate Lanzo (Caldwell, NJ/Montclair Kimberly) finished with 12 points and three assists. Mary Doolan (Bayonne, NJ/Holy Family Acad.) totaled nine points.

The Rams will host their final regular season game tonight against NYCCT at 6:00pm, followed by the men’s team vs. NYCCT at 8:00pm. We will also be honoring our eight graduating seniors tonight before each game.
