Senior Melissa Harry's five points in the final minutes of the game helped Farmingdale State to a 98-95 victory over Juniata College (3-2) on Sunday afternoon in the NYU Classic at the Coles Sports Center in New York City. The Rams (2-3) trailed by two points, 93-95, with 1:37 remaining in the game before Harry (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) made two lay-ups and a free throw for the two point victory.
Harry finished the game with 15 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Sophomore Mercedes Miller (New York, NY/Manhattan Center) led Farmingdale with 23 points, while sophomore Dankery Perez (Manhattan, NY/Manhattan Center) added 20 points and dished out six assists. Senior Nicole Judkins (Fort Drum, NY/Indian River) shot 5-for-7 from behind the arc for a final tally of 15 points.
Farmingdale State now hosts Briarcliffe College on Thursday night at 7:00pm in their first home contest of the season.
