Women's Basketball Falls to Mount Saint Mary

Newburgh, NY The Farmingdale State (6-7, 2-2) women's basketball team fell 65-41 today against Skyline Conference opponent Mount Saint Mary College (11-2, 4-0). LaSheena Brown (Malverne, NY/Malverne) dominated for the Blue Knights scoring 21 points and ripping down 18 boards. At 13:48 in the first half the score was even at eleven points, but Mount Saint Mary took off and never looked back, leading 34-17 at the half.

The game concluded with an easy jumper by Farmingdale State's Mercedes Miller (New York, NY/Manhattan Center). Miller finished with a team-high 19 points and 11 rebounds.

For Mount Saint Mary, Stacy Schultz (Valley Stream, NY/Valley Stream) shot 90-percent from the field scoring 18 points. Vanessa Lawson (Kingston, NY/Kingston) finished with 15 points, four assists and eight steals.

The Rams host Skyline opponent Stevens on Monday night, January 16th, at 7:00pm.
