Stevens Takes Conference Win from Rams

Farmingdale, NY The Stevens Ducks (7-6, 2-2 Skyline) defeated Farmingdale State (6-8, 2-3 Skyline) 65-53 in a women's basketball conference game tonight in Farmingdale, NY. Freshman Dani Dudek (Rockaway, NJ/Morris Hills) sunk a lay-up at the buzzer to give Stevens a 26-24 lead at the half. The Ducks would then shoot 45-percent from the field in the second, leading them to a second conference win of the season.

Dudek led Stevens with game-highs of 16 points and seven assists. Sophomore Dora Enright (Longmont, CO/Longmont) scored 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while sophomore Jean Matusiak (Glendale, NY/Christ the King) and senior Jenna Gambino (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa Academy) also contributed 12 points each.

Sophomore Mercedes Miller (New York, NY/Manhattan Center) led the Rams with 13 points and seven rebounds, while senior Nicole Judkins (Fort Drum, NY/Indian River) finished with 10 points and one block. Senior Angela Williams (New York, NY/Murry Bergtraum) and junior Kendra Romain (Brooklyn, NY/Martin Luther King) both grabbed eight rebounds.

Farmingdale State will now travel to Mount Saint Vincent on Wednesday, January 18th for another Skyline Conference game at 7:00pm.
