Riverdale, NY - The Farmingdale State women's basketball team improved to 7-8, 3-3 Skyline defeated the College of Mount Saint Vincent (2-10, 1-6 Skyline) tonight, snapping their three-game losing streak with a 98-90 conference victory. Five players scored in double figures for the Rams, led by sophomore forward Mercedes Miller (New York, NY/Manhattan Center) with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Farmingdale sophomore Dankery Perez (New York, NY/Manhattan Center) finished second in scoring with 18 points, six assists and three steals. Seniors Angela Williams (New York, NY/Murry Bergtraum) and Kristen Tong (Swanzey, NH/Monadnock Regional) both contributed 15 points. Williams blocked three shots as well. Senior Nicole Judkins (Fort Drum, NY/Indian River) finished with 10 points in just 11 minutes played.
For the Dolphins, Meagan Fitzpatrick scored 18 points and grabbed 10 boards. Andrea Dinizo also added 18 points, while Laura Bucci and Ashley Farrow both finished with 15 points. Drew Gomes tallied a game-high nine assists.
The Rams now face Skyline Conference opponent Old Westbury on Saturday, January 21st at 2:00pm.
