Kings Point, NY - Farmingdale State improved to 10-8, 6-3 in the Skyline with a 64-45 victory over Kings Point (12-8, 5-3) on Thursday night. The Rams had four players in double-figures, led by junior Rochelle Clark (Bellport, NY/Bellport) with 13 points, while the Mariners had only one in double digits. Farmingdale State moved up in the Skyline rankings with the win, moving into third place while Kings Point dropped to fourth.
Sophomore Mercedes Miller (New York, NY/Manhattan Center) finished with 11 points, nine rebounds and three blocks for the Rams. Senior Melissa Harry (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) tallied the games only double-double with 10 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks. Sophomore I'shawna West (Hempstead, NY/Hempstead) had 10 points.
Junior Ashley Carlisle (Oakton, VA/James Madison) led the Mariners with 13 points. Sophomore Morgan Gartner (Houston, TX/Kingwood), freshman Kristen Hesko (Killingworth, CT/Haddam-Killingworth) and junior Andrea Carey (Lewes, DE/Cape Henlopen) all finished with eight points.
Farmingdale State will host Lehman College on Saturday, February 4th in a non-conference game at 3:00pm.
