Patchogue, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's basketball team improved to 10-3, 6-1 Skyline with a 72-50 victory over St. Joseph's (1-16, 0-9) tonight as junior guard Christine Daley (Elmont, NY/Elmont) led the Rams with a game-high 18 points, including five three pointers.
Daley also added five rebounds and two blocks. Junior center Mercedes Miller (New York, NY/Manhattan Center) finished with 13 points, five rebounds and two blocks. Junior forward Tara Steward (Elmont, NY/Sewanhaka) was the third from Farmingdale in double digits with 11 points.
For St. Joseph's, freshmen forwards Trish McMahon (North Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) and Dana Carney (Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) both tallied double-doubles. McMahon with 17 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, while Carney had 16 points and 11 boards.
The Rams now host Manhattanville College on Saturday, January 20th at 1:00pm for another Skyline Conference game.
