Hackettstown, N.J. - The Farmingdale State women's basketball team scored 103 points, a season-high, in tonights 103-96 victory over Centenary College at Hackettstown High School in Hackettstown, N.J. Junior guard Christine Daley (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont) knocked down seven three-pointers and finished with a game-high 28 points to lead the Rams. Farmingdale improves to 13-6, 9-4 in the Skyline with the win, while Centenary fell to 11-8, 5-8 in the conference.
The Rams opened the game with a three-pointer from Daley and held the lead throughout, leading by as much as 15 points in the second half. The team shot 50-percent from the field and 58-percent from three-point territory, while shooting just 64-percent at the free-throw line. Freshman guard Kimberly Blakney (Brooklyn, N.Y./Benjamin Banneker) scored 21 points and grabbed six rebounds. Junior guard Dankery Perez (New York, N.Y./Manhattan Center) totaled 16 points and junior forward Jasmine Sistrunk (Brooklyn, N.Y./South Shore) finished with 14 points.
Farmingdale will host non-conference opponent CCNY on Monday, February 5th at 6:00 p.m., followed by a men's basketball game against City Tech at 8:00 p.m.
