Riverdale, N.Y. - Junior guard Christine Daley (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont) and the Farmingdale State women's basketball team picked up their 16th win of the season with an 86-70 victory over Mount Saint Vincent (13-9, 8-7 Skyline) on Monday night, February 12th in Riverdale, N.Y. Daley dropped 20 points on team-high eight field goals, including four three-pointers. The Rams improved to 16-6, 11-4 in the Skyline with just one game remaining in regular season play.
Senior guard Rochelle Clark (Bellport, N.Y./Bellport) registered a career-high 10 assists, while also scoring three points and grabbing five rebounds. Three others finished in double digits, including freshman guard Kimberly Blakney (Brooklyn, N.Y./Benjamin Banneker) with 17 points and junior guards Dankery Perez (New York, N.Y./Manhattan Center) and Tara Steward (Elmont, N.Y./Sewanhaka) with 12 points each. Perez also added seven assists.
The Rams will host Skyline opponent Mount Saint Mary College this Wednesday, February 14th at 7:00 p.m. for their final regular season game. The Skyline Playoffs will begin on Tuesday, February 20th with the opponent to be announced, but likely a home game.
