Rams Make Fourth Straight Trip to Skyline Finals

Hoboken, N.J. - Farmingdale State women's basketball (19-6) will advance to their fourth straight Skyline Conference Finals with a win over Stevens (21-6) tonight in Hoboken, N.J. The Rams took a six point lead into halftime and held the Ducks to just 20 points in the second, as they rolled to a 70-49 victory.

Freshman guard Kimberly Blakney (Brooklyn, N.Y./Benjamin Banneker) came off the bench to score a game-high 23 points, including five three-pointers, while three other Farmingdale players finished in double figures. Senior guard Rochelle Clark (Bellport, N.Y./Bellport) dished out eight assists and had four steals. Clark has averaged 8.5 assists so far during the Playoffs.

Stevens' junior guard Jean Matusiak (Queens, N.Y./Christ the King) had 10 rebounds, nine assists and eight points tonight, while teammates Brittany Fuller (East Rockaway, N.Y./East Rockaway) and Dora Enright (Longmont, Colo./Longmont) both finished with 12 points each.

The Rams will travel to Newburgh, N.Y. on Saturday afternoon, February 24th, to face Mount Saint Mary College. The top-seeded Blue Knights defeated Mount Saint Vincent tonight, 72-62, and will meet Farmingdale in the Finals for the fourth straight season. In the past two meetings, the Rams lost by an average of just 3.5 points. The winner will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
