The women's basketball team finished the season with a 21-8 record, while making their fourth straight trip to the Skyline Conference Finals and second straight trip to the ECAC Metro Region Finals. The Rams also defeated conference rival Mount Saint Mary College for the first time in program history with a 67-66 victory at home. Coach Mooney is now 124-64 over his seven years with the team.
The team was led by Skyline Conference Defensive Player of the Year, senior guard Rochelle Clark, who finished the year with 119 steals, 132 assists and 7 points per game. She led the team in minutes played and was the only member of the team to start all 29 games. Joining Clark with First-Team All-Conference honors was junior guard Christine Daley, who was also named to the All-Metropolitan basketball team. Daley averaged 13.9 points and scored 402 total points this year, shooting 33-percent from long range.
Freshman Kimberly Blakney, who joined the team just before the winter break, finished her freshman year with a team-high 17.8 points per game, 6.9 rebounds and 31 blocks. Junior forward Jasmine Sistrunk, another late addition to the team, shot .533 from the field and scored 9.6 points per game over the Rams final 13 games.
Junior center Mercedes Miller led the team in rebounding, totaling 176 on the season. Miller scored 11.5 points per game and shot 44.6-percent from the field. Junior guard Dankery Perez had a team-high 145 assists and averaged 10.3 points per game. She has accumulated 383 assists and 659 points in her career and will be returning for her final season in 2007-08.
