Farmingdale State - 78, Yeshiva - 21


Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's basketball team picked up their first conference win tonight with a 78-21 victory over Skyline Conference opponent Yeshiva University (1-5, 0-4). The Rams improve to 3-2, 1-0 in the conference with the victory.

Farmingdale State had 12 players in the  scoring column, led by sophomore guard Kimberly Blakney (Brooklyn, N.Y./Benjamin Banneker) with 13 points, seven rebounds, four steals and two blocks. Sophomore guard Tiffara Steward (Elmont, N.Y./Sewanhaka) came off the bench to register seven points, four steals and four boards. Freshman forward Michelle Conte (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds, along with three assists and three steals.

The Rams now travel to the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday, December 1st for a double-header with the men's team starting at 12 Noon.
