Farmingdale State - 79, Old Westbury - 62

- Blakney Reaches 100 Steals and Rams Stay Undefeated -

Old Westbury, N.Y. - Sophomore guard Kimberly Blakney (Brooklyn, N.Y./Benjamin Banneker) scored 15 points against Old Westbury (1-3, 0-3) in women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon. She also tallied four steals, to break the 100 mark and push her career total to 102. Adding to her daily totals, she registered nine rebounds and six assists in the Rams 79-62 victory. Farmingdale State improved to 6-2 with the win and remains undefeated in the Skyline Conference with a 4-0 record.

Senior guard Christine Daley (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont) also finished with 15 points for the Rams, while senior forward Jasmine Sistrunk (Brooklyn, N.Y./Southshore) finished with 14 points and nine boards. Senior center Mercedes Miller (New York, N.Y./Manhattan Center) blocked five shots, grabbed nine rebounds and scored 10 points. Sophomore guard Kamaya Miller (Brooklyn, N.Y./Midwood) was the fifth player for Farmingdale in double figures with 10 points.

Sophomore guard Pam Robinson (Wheatley Heights, N.Y./Half Hollow West) led the scoring for Old Westbury with 21 points, while freshman forward Shannon Gilly (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) posted a game-high 12 rebounds.

The Rams now face Rutgers-Newark on Saturday, December 15th at home in a non-conference double-header. The women's game is at 1:00 p.m. and the men's game will follow at 3:00 p.m.
