Sophomore guard Kimberly Blakney (Brooklyn, N.Y./Benjamin Banneker) was named to the Skyline Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll for women's basketball on Monday, December 17th.

Blakney moved past the 500 career point mark on Saturday afternoon as she scored 25 points in a double overtime loss to Rutgers-Newark. She now holds 509 points and 109 steals to date, early in her sophomore season. In the games first overtime, she brought her team back from a seven-point deficit with eight straight points, to tie it up and force the second OT, but Farmingdale eventually fell 88-79. Also in the Rams only game this week, she grabbed 10 rebounds, had 7 steals and three blocks.

The Skyline Conference Weekly Reports are announced by the Conference on Monday nights. Reports (including players of the week and statistics) are available to view on the Skyline website at www.skylineconference.org.
