FDU-Florham Defeats Farmingdale State in ECAC Quarterfinals

Junior guard Emily Cerankowski (Easton, Pa./Notre Dame) led her team with 16 points as fifth-seeded FDU-Florham (18-10) defeated #4 seed Farmingdale State (19-7) tonight in an ECAC Metro Quarterfinal game. The Devils led 31-26 at the half and held the Rams to 25-percent shooting in the second to take a 58-51 victory and move on to the ECAC Semifinals against the winner of top-seed Montclair State and #8 Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday, March 8th.
Farmingdale was led by sophomore guard Kimberly Blakney (Brooklyn, N.Y./Benjamin Banneker) with 16 points and four steals. Senior center Mercedes Miller (New York, N.Y./Manhattan Center) scored eight points, nine rebounds and had two blocks in her final game for the Rams. Senior forward Jasmine Sistrunk (Brooklyn, N.Y./South Shore) grabbed nine rebounds and added seven points.
FDU sophomore forward Courtney Young (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne) registered the games only double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore forward Danielle Michlovsky (Wind Gap, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) finished with 10 points.
