Shemique Hooks Named Skyline Rookie of the Week
Lawrenceville, N.J. - Freshman guard Shemique
Hooks (Westbury, N.Y./Westbury) was named the Skyline Conference
Rookie of the Week for women's basketball on Monday, January 5th.
Hooks earns her third Rookie of the Week citation after helping
the Rams extend their winning streak to five games with a pair of
wins before the holiday break. Hooks averaged 18.0 points, 8.0
rebounds and 3.0 assists in leading Farmingdale to victories over
New Jersey City and Yeshiva. She paced the Rams in scoring with 20
points in a 75-57 win over New Jersey City. Hooks is still the
leading the Conference in scoring among all freshman with 18.1
points per game.
