Blakney (Brooklyn, N.Y./Benjamin Banneker) was named the Skyline
Conference Player of the Week for women's basketball, for the third
time this season, on Monday, February 16th.
Blakney averaged 30.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals in two games last week. Blakney exploded for a Farmingdale State record 49 points (also believed to be a Skyline Conference record) along with nine rebounds and six steals in a 75-70 win over St. Joseph's. She also paced the Rams with 11 points and two steals while displaying her talents against Division I power Rutgers.
