Rams Receive 6th Straight Bid to ECAC Metro Championship

Farmingdale, N.Y. - For the sixth straight season, the Farmingdale State women's basketball team has received a bid to compete for the Division III ECAC Metro Championship. The Rams were chosen as the third seed this season, after finishing with a 17-9 record and making their sixth straight trip to the Skyline Conference Finals.
After finishing the regular-season with a 20-5 record, College
of Staten Island was selected as the number one seed for the
Championship. The tournament is an eight-team field with
quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds.
In the first round contests on Wednesday, March 4, College of
Staten Island (20-5) will host SUNY Purchase (15-11) at 7 p.m.,
while the second seed Lehman College (18-10) will face No. 7 SUNY
Old Westbury (18-9) at 5 p.m. at Lehman College. No. 3 Farmingdale
State (17-9) hosts Brooklyn College (19-7) at 7 p.m., and College
of Mount Saint Vincent (16-11) will travel to College of Saint
Elizabeth (19-8) at 7 p.m. in the No. 4/No. 5 match-up at College
of Saint Elizabeth.
The first-round winners will advance to the semifinals on
Saturday, March 7, hosted by the highest remaining seeds. The
winner of College of Staten Island/SUNY Purchase will face the
winner of College of Mount Saint Vincent/College of Saint Elizabeth
at Time TBA in one semifinal, and the winner of Lehman/SUNY Old
Westbury will play the winner of Farmingdale State/Brooklyn College
at Time TBA in the other semifinal. The semifinal winners will meet
Sunday, March 8 at Time TBA for the championship.
