Rams to Face Gettysburg in Opening Round of NCAA's
Host Site - Moravian College - March 5th and 6th
5:00pm - Farmingdale State (25-1) vs. Gettysburg College (22-4)
7:00pm - Utica College (21-6) vs. Moravian College (25-2)
Tickets: $6 for general admission; $3 for students
Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's basketball team will face Gettysburg College in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. The game will be played at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Friday, March 5th at 5:00 p.m.
Farmingdale State enters the Tournament with a 25-1 record and
takes on a Gettysburg team who holds a 22-4 record and competes in
the Centennial Conference. The Rams defeated Mount Saint Mary
College to earn the Skyline Conference's automatic bid, while
Gettysburg fell to McDaniel College in the Conference Tournament,
but received an at-large bid into the Tournament.
The host institution, Moravian College, will take on Utica College in the other opening round game. Moravian defeated Scranton, 66-47, in the Landmark Conference Championship game earning an automatic bid, while Utica defeated Ithaca, 38-37, in the Empire 8 Championship to capture the conference's automatic bid.
The winner of both games will square off on Saturday, March 6th at 7:00 p.m. at Moravian College.
