Rams Pick Up Another Conference Victory
Farmingdale State - 79, Bard College - 25
Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's basketball team defeated Bard College in today's Skyline Conference game, 79-25, to improve to 12-5 overall, 9-2 in the conference. The Raptors fell to 2-15, 2-11 in the Skyline. Two players finished with double-doubles for the Rams, including junior forward Natasha Smalls (Harlem, N.Y./St. Michael Academy) and freshman forward Lushanta Savadel (Bellport, N.Y./William Floyd).
With a 45-10 lead at the break, Farmingdale had 11 players in scoring. In the second, the Rams continued to score and would take the eventual victory. Smalls finished with 11 rebounds, 10 points and six blocks, while Savadel notched 10 points and 12 rebounds. Junior guard Kayla Koch (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) led the team with 13 points and sophomore forward Jalicia Connell (Westbury, N.Y./Hicksville) was the fourth Ram in double digits with 10 points.
Farmingdale State will now travel to face non-conference opponent Staten Island on Monday, January 31st at 6:00 p.m.
