Williamsport, PA - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team fell to 2-7 after a 17-6 loss to Lycoming College (10-2) in Willimsport, PA on Thursday afternoon. Sophomore goalkeeper Janine Forman (North Massapequa, NY/Plainedge) made 18 saves for the Rams.
Farmingdale State jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead with two unassisted goals from freshman attacker Jessica Kramer (Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst) before Lycoming scored ten straight to take an eight goal lead. Freshman attacker Theresa Rokee (Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst) broke up Lycoming's scoring streak on a breakaway goal with 6:17 left in the half. Lycoming took a 11-3 lead into the half and the Rams held them to six goals in the second half.
Kramer and freshman Sam Bidermann (Merrick, NY/Mepham) led the scoring for Farmingdale with two goals each. Kramer also added an assist. Rokee finished with one goal and junior attacker Gina Shore (Holbrook, NY/Sachem) scored one goal.
The Rams host Manhattanville College on Saturday, April 15th for a conference game at 3:00pm.
