Janine Forman Named ECAC Goaltender of the Week

The ECAC is proud to honor 52 student-athletes with Player of the Week distinction for the week of March 19, 2007. Junior goaltender Janine Forman (North Massapequa, N.Y.) was named the Division III ECAC Metro Region Goaltender of the Week. In last weeks season opening game against Western Connecticut she made 24 saves in the Rams 19-9 victory. She stopped 12-of-13 free position attempts and allowed just nine goals scored, while holding a .727 save percentage on the Colonials' 42 shot attempts. Janine was also named to the Skyline Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll this week.

-Each week of the Spring season, the ECAC honors student-athletes with Player of the Week Awards. In Baseball and Softball, a player and pitcher are chosen each week in Divisions I, II, and III. In Men's and Women's Lacrosse, a player and goaltender are chosen in Divisions II and III. In Men's and Women's Track and Field, a track athlete and field athlete are chosen in Divisions I, II, and III.--
