Tough Loss for Women's Lax at Manhattanville

Purchase, N.Y. - Junior goalkeeper Janine Forman (North Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge) finished with 26 saves in the Rams 15-4 loss against Skyline opponent Manhattanville College (4-5, 2-2) in Purchase, N.Y. Farmingdale trailed 7-2 after the first half and could not convert the comeback in the second to fall to 4-4 overall, 1-3 in the conference.

Manhattanville jumped out to a 6-0 lead, before Rams freshman midfielder Janelle Reif (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Herricks) scored two goals to make it 6-2. The Valiants scored one more before the half for a 7-2 edge at the half.

Sophomore midfielder Christina Gagliardo (Dix Hills, N.Y./Holy Trinity) scored the first goal of her career off a pass from Reif. Freshman midfielder Jennifer Jung (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Herricks) scored the final goal for Farmingdale and also finished the day with four draw controls as the Rams held the advantage on the draw controls 13-8.

Farmingdale will host Maritime College on Monday, April 16th in a non-conference game at 4:00 p.m.
