Rams Pick Up First Conference Victory

Farmingdale State - 20, Maritime College - 1

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Rams (3-6, 1-1) picked up their first Skyline Conference victory today with a 20-1 win in women's lacrosse over Maritime College (1-11, 0-5) today in Farmingdale, N.Y. Farmingdale State freshman midfielders Alecia Fuschetto (Melville, N.Y./Hills East) and Justine Rothar (Levittown, N.Y./Division Ave.) both scored four goals, while junior midfielder Theresa Rokee (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) had two goals and four assists.

Freshman midfielder Jackie Messina (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown) grabbed a game-high four draw controls in the win. Freshman defender Chelsea Bjornsson (Levittown, N.Y./Division Ave.) picked up a team-high five ground balls, two draw controls and had two caused turnovers for the Rams.

Farmingdale State will travel to Neumann College in Aston, Pennsylvania tomorrow, Thursday, April 17th, for a non-conference game at 4:00 p.m.
