Rams Snap Losing Streak and Advance to Skyline Playoffs

Farmingdale State – 16, Ramapo College – 4


Farmingdale, N.Y. – The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team (4-10, 2-3) defeated Ramapo College (1-10, 1-4) today in a Skyline Conference game by a score of 16-4 on Senior Day in Farmingdale, N.Y. Rams senior goalkeeper Janine Forman (North Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge) had ten saves and six ground balls in her last home regular season game. She now holds 606 career saves in three seasons as Farmingdale's starting goaltender.

The Rams were led by junior midfielder Theresa Rokee (Lindenhurst, NY / Lindenhurst), who scored four goals and recorded two ground balls in the win. Farmingdale held a commanding 11-1 lead over Ramapo at halftime. Freshman Alecia Fuschetto (Melville, NY / Hills East) scored three goals and one assist. Freshman midfielder Justine Rothar (Levittown, NY / Division Ave) had one goal and four assists in the first half for Farmingdale, adding one more goal in the second. Freshman attack Heather Andersen (Levittown, NY / Division Ave) scored three goals on the afternoon, two of which were free position shots. Heather also added two ground balls to her already impressive day.

Ramapo was led by senior Eveline Rutledge (Plainsboro, NJ / WWP-South) who scored two of her teams’ four goals and recorded two ground balls. Megan Tierney (Wayne, NJ / Wayne) had eight saves in the loss for Ramapo.

The next game for the Rams will be the Skyline Conference Semifinals on Wednesday, April 30th.
