Women's Lacrosse![]() ![]() Coach: Carrie Bolduc (2nd season, Syracuse '99)
Carrie Bolduc was named head coach at Farmingdale State in July of 2006. In her first season with the Rams, the team started the season 3-0 and finished the year with a program best 7 wins, good for a first-ever ECAC Tournament bid. Before coming to Farmingdale, Bolduc was the head coach at UMass Amherst for four years. During that time, she compiled an overall record of 29-41 and led the Minutewomen to a runner-up finish in the Atlantic-10 Tournament (2003), a runner-up finish in the ECAC Tournament (2003), and two A-10 Tournament Semifinal appearances. A 1999 graduate of Syracuse University with an arts education degree, Bolduc enjoyed a successful collegiate career at both Temple and Syracuse. At Temple, Bolduc started for the 1997 Final Four team which lost to eventual national champion, Maryland, 9-6. As a member of the inaugural Syracuse lacrosse team, Bolduc was named a team captain for her junior and senior years in 1998 and 1999. She guided the Orange to the ECAC Championship and earned IWLCA Division I North Region First Team All-America honors in 1999. In her high school days, she was selected to play in the North / South senior game at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md. She attended Albany Academy for Girls in Albany, N.Y., where her prep lacrosse achievements led to her being named a High School All-American in 1995. Bolduc recently completed her master's degree in Interior and Architectural Design at the University of Massachusetts in December 2004. Assistant Coach: Stephanie DeGennaro Stephanie graduated from Stony Brook University in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in Cinema and Cultural Studies. She played four years for the Seawolves Women's Lacrosse program, where during her freshman season she finished third on the team in scoring with 31 points. Steph played in 51 games over her four-year campaign, compiling 38 goals and 21 assists. An All-League lacrosse player and two-year captain at Longwood High School, she was a four-year letterwinner in lacrosse while also lettering in soccer, volleyball and basketball. Assistant Coach: Deana Ward Deana graduated from Endicott College (Beverly, Mass.) in 2001, where she played four years of Field Hockey and Lacrosse. She ranks among the leading All-Time scorers in both sports at Endicott and was Captain of both teams during her senior year. Deana received a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management from Endicott in 2001 and a Master's in Athletic Administration from Springfield College in 2003. While attending graduate school, she was the Assistant Field Hockey and Lacrosse Coach at Elms College in Chicopee, Mass. Aside from her assistant coaching duties here at Farmingdale, she is also the Assistant Athletic Director/Sports Information Director. |
