Liz Essig Scores Game-Winner for Rams
Oct 2, 2005

Farmingdale State 2

Staten Island 0

The Farmingdale State Women's Soccer team improved to 4-3-1 on Sunday morning after defeating the College of Staten Island 2-0 in non-conference action. In a very physical matchup, the Dolphins and Rams fought to a scoreless tie at halftime. Farmingdale jumped on the board in the 65th minute with what would be the game winning goal from Liz Essig (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon). Farmingdale tacked on an insurance goal at 75:01 as Natalie Budinich (Commack, NY/Commack) netted one of her six shots of the morning. Pam Baione (Farmingdale, NY/Plainedge) made four saves for her second shutout of the season.

Staten Island's Andrea Cundari stopped 7 shots in net in her third start at goal for CSI.

The Rams will now host St. Elizabeth's on Thursday afternoon, October 6th, at 3:30pm.
