![]() Rams End Regular Season with New Paltz Loss

Farmingdale State 0 The Farmingdale State women's soccer team finished the regular season schedule today with a 5-0 loss against New Paltz (10-6-2) in New Paltz, NY. The Hawks overpowered Farmingdale with a 25-5 advantage in shots, scoring two goals in the first half and three in the second. Freshman Jennifer Anselmi (Garnerville, NY/North Rockland) scored the game-winner for New Paltz at the 25-minute mark, followed by goals from sophomore Stephanie Potts (Cortland Manor, NY/Lakeland) and junior Alison Fliegel (New Hyde Park, NY/New Hyde Park). Senior Amanda Picarelli (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) added the final two goals for the Hawks. Freshman goalkeeper Sarah Boccard (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville) made 3 saves for the win. Pam Baione (Farmingdale, NY/Plainedge) made six saves in defeat for the Rams. Farmingdale State takes a 7-7-1 record into the Skyline Playoffs as the #4 seed. The Rams will face #1 seed Stevens (16-2, 6-0 Skyline) in Hoboken, NJ on Wednesday, November 2nd, a time has not yet been announced. |
