Farmingdale, N.Y. – The Farmingdale State women’s soccer team improved to 2-4 overall with a 3-0 win over former Skyline conference opponent Manhattanville College (0-7). The Rams came out strong and scored their first goal just 17:33 into the contest when junior midfielder Kaitlin O’Brien (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) sent a corner kick in front that was tipped in by sophomore forward Christina Cascio (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) for the quick 1-0 lead.

Farmingdale State sophomore midfielder Amanda Biondi (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) made it 2-0 six minutes later on a thru ball, assisted by senior midfielder Liz Essig (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon). Sophomore forward Tricia Pickford (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa) sent a cross in front over the Manhattanville defense to sophomore forward Jennifer Jung (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Herricks) for the tip-in on the third and final goal of the day.
