Farmingdale State - 2, Mount Saint Mary - 0 

Newburgh, N.Y. - Farmingdale State sophomore forward Kristine Ostrem (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) netted both goals in a 2-0 women's soccer shutout over Skyline Conference opponent Mount Saint Mary College (8-3-1, 1-2) on Saturday afternoon in Newburgh, N.Y. The Rams outshot the Blue Knights 22-4 and held a 13-1 advantage on corner kicks. Farmingdale improved to 7-5, 3-0 in the conference with the win.

The Rams first goal was scored 10 minutes into the contest and the second goal was scored in the 65th minute. Sophomore forward Tricia Pickford (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa) and sophomore forward Christina Cascio (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) each assisted a goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Kimberly Sontag (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lynbrook) made four saves for the victory.

Farmingdale now hosts Skyline opponent St. Joseph's on Wednesday, October 10th at 3:00 p.m.
