Farmingdale - 0, Purchase - 0 (Rams advance on PK's)

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team (12-7-1) will advance to the Skyline Conference Championship game for the first time in program history, after winning on penalty kicks today over Purchase College (8-9-3) in the Skyline Semifinals.

The Rams and Panthers played 110 minutes of scoreless soccer, before forcing a shootout, where each team receives five attempts at penalty kicks and the most goals out of five would decide the winner. Sophomore goalkeeper Kimberly Sontag (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lynbrook) made three saves to preserve the victory for the Rams, including saves on the final two shooters for Purchase.
