Manhattanville, 1

Farmingdale, 0

Purchase, NY Freshman Bailey Flood's (South Lake Tahoe, CA) goal just four minutes into the contest proved to be the eventual game-winner as Manhattanville women's soccer defeated Skyline Conference opponent Farmingdale 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon in Purchase, NY.

Flood found the back of the net just under four minutes into the game off a pass from freshman Cybil Robinson (South Lake Tahoe, CA). The goal eventually became the third game-winning goal for Flood this season.

For the remainder of the game the Valiants and Rams played a back-and-forth midfield game with only 10 shots combined on the afternoon.

Valiant senior keeper Michele Ribiero (West Hartford, CT) stopped five shots for her eighth shutout of the season. Rams keeper Kimberly Sontag (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) stopped two shots in defeat.

The win brings Manhattanville to 7-3-3 overall and 3-0-1 in the Skyline Conference. Farmingdale now stands at 5-6-2 overall and 1-3 in Skyline play.

The Rams will host Maritime College on Saturday, October 14th at 1:00pm for a Skyline Conference game. Manhattanville will also be in action on Saturday when they travel to Centenary College for a 12:00pm game.
