Rams Drop Non-Conference Game at FDU-Florham

FDU - Florham - 4, Farmingdale State - 1

Madison, N.J. – Farmingdale State was defeated by the FDU - Florham Devils, 4-1, in a non-conference women’s soccer game in Madison, N.J. this afternoon.

Junior Midfielder Monica Grisales (Brentwood, NY / Brentwood) scored a goal for the Rams 1:06 into the game, giving Farmingdale an early 1-0 lead. FDU forward, Brittany Kanickij (Hamilton, NJ / Steinert) answered five minutes later to tie the game 1-1.

In the second half, Devils sophomore Lora Fink (Hamilton Square, NJ / Pennington) scored the team’s next two goals for a 3-1 advantage. Brittany Kanickij (Hamilton, NJ / Steinert) would add the final tally on a penalty kick.

Sophomore goalkeeper Caitlin Howard (Farmingdale, NY / Farmingdale) made six saves in defeat for the Rams.

The team now leaves for Michigan on Thursday, September 11th, where they will be playing two non-conference games. The Rams square off against Calvin College Friday, September 12th at 4:00 pm and face Hope College Saturday, September 13th at noon.
