Rams Shutout Old Westbury for Second Conference Win

Farmingdale, N.Y. – Farmingdale State defeated Old Westbury, 6-0, in a Skyline Conference women’s soccer game in Farmingdale, N.Y. this afternoon.

Six different players scored for the Rams in their shutout win over Old Westbury, improving them to 2-0 this season in Skyline Conference play. Junior forward Monica Grisales (Brentwood, NY / Brentwood) opened the scoring for Farmingdale at the 35:54 mark, Morgan Baust (Manorville, NY / Eastport-South Manor) recorded the assist on the games only first half goal.

Katrina Cerverizzo (Center Moriches, NY / Center Moriches) scored off a corner kick within the first five minutes of the second half from Morgan Baust, her second assist of the game. Rebecca Richman (West Islip, NY / West Islip), Jennifer Jung (Tuscan, AZ / Herricks), Anna-Marie Rivera (Bayshore, NY / Brentwood) and Julianne Cicio (Lindenhurst, NY / Holy Trinity) each added a goal for the Rams. Freshman midfielder Brittany Williams (Massapequa, NY / Massapequa) also had two assists in the win for Farmingdale.

Freshman goalkeeper Amanda Maass (Mastic Beach, NY / Williams Floyd) recorded four saves in her first career shutout for the Rams; Debra Ciccarelli (St. James, NY / Smithtown) had eleven saves for Old Westbury.

The Rams next will host Mount Saint Mary in a Skyline Conference game on Saturday, October 4th at 1:00 p.m.
