Second Half Tally Leads Rams to Victory

Messina (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown) connected on a pass in front by
junior midfielder Trish Pickford (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa)
in the 68th minute of play, the eventual game-winner, giving the
Farmingdale State women’s soccer team a 1-0 conference
victory over Mount Saint Mary College. The Rams improve to 4-8
overall, 3-0 in the Skyline, while the Blue Knights fell to 7-3,
3-1 in the conference.
Farmingdale State freshman goalkeeper Amanda Maass (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) made three saves in the win for her second shutout of the season, while sophomore goalkeeper Megan Cotta (Wall, N.J./St. Rose) made 12 saves in defeat.
The Rams will play again at home on Tuesday, October 7th in a non-conference game at 4:00 p.m. versus the College of Staten Island.
