Coram, N.Y. - Farmingdale State (12-9) won the Skyline Conference Women's Soccer Championship today with a 1-0 victory over top-seeded St. Joseph's (14-8) in the Skyline Finals played at Diamond in the Pines in Coram, N.Y. Freshman midfielder Brittany Williams (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) scored 12 minutes into the first half, an unassisted goal which would prove to be the game-winner, to lead the Rams to their second straight Championship. Williams was named the Tournament MVP.

Tournament MVP, Brittany Williams Farmingdale State dominated the first 45 minutes of play with Williams' goal and a 5-0 shot advantage for the 1-0 lead at halftime. The Golden Eagles responded with seven shots in the second, but the Rams defense was able to keep St. Joe's scoreless as freshman goalkeeper Amanda Maass (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) made four saves for the win and her eighth shutout of the season.

The Rams will now await word of its NCAA Tournament placement, as the NCAA will broadcast the Division III Women's Soccer Selection show Monday, November 10th at 11:00 a.m. That show will be streamed live via video webcast at NCAA.com.
