Amanda graduated from William Floyd High School in 2008, where she played soccer and softball. In soccer, Amanda was named an All-League and All-County player in 2005, 2006 and 2007. In softball, she was a 2007 League One All-Division player. Amanda is also a member of Farmingdale State's softball team.

Freshman year...Started 13-of-16 games in goal for the Skyline Championship team in 2008. Finished with a 10-4 record (including 8 shutouts), a 1.37 goals against average and .798 save percentage. Ranked 5th in the Conference with for GAA and 5th in the Conference for Save %.

She is the daughter of Andrew and Donna Maass.
