Rams Pick Up First Conference Win

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team (3-2, 1-0 Skyline) picked up their first conference win today with an 11-0 victory over Yeshiva University (0-4, 0-3). Freshman forward Christina Merrill (Levittown, N.Y./Island Trees) finished with a team-leading four goals and two assists for the Rams.

Farmingdale State also saw goals from freshman forward Melissia Elie (Brentwood, N.Y./Brentwood), sophomore defender Shannon Kalogeras (Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford), freshman forward Jamie Smith (Holtsville, N.Y./Sachem East), freshman forward Erica Bettini (Staten Island, N.Y./Susan E. Wagner), freshman forward Carly Schneider (Merrick, N.Y./Bellmore JFK), freshman forward Corine Magee (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd). Freshman midfielder Nicole Sinacori (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Connetquot) and freshman defender Jennifer Flanagan (Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford) both recorded assists.

The Rams will now travel to Pennsylvania for the Franklin & Marshall Tournament on Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12th.
