Rams End Season in Doubles Tournament

Purchase, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team ended their season today at the Skyline Doubles Tournament, taken place at Purchase College in Purchase, N.Y. This was the first-ever year for an end of the season Skyline Doubles Tournament.

The Rams had three doubles groups playing in the Tournament. Senior Oshea Davis (Hempstead, N.Y./Freeport) and junior Kate McEntee (Greenwich, Conn./Pomfret) lost 8-6 in the Third Round to eventual finalists, while sophomore Jessica Gentile (Dix Hills, N.Y./St. Anthony's) and freshman Nicole Valentino (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) lost 8-2 in the Third Round to the other finalists.

Sophomore Jessica Dautner (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) and freshman Alicia Femoyer (East Northport, N.Y./Elwood-John H. Glenn) made it to the Finals of the Consolation round, but fell 8-4 in that match.

The girls will await word of the All-Conference selections after another great season, where they finished 7-7 and made another appearance in the Skyline Playoffs in just their second season as a Varsity squad.
