Farmingdale State Blanks Sarah Lawrence in Conference Victory

Farmingdale State - 7, Sarah Lawrence - 0

Bronxville, N.Y. - On Saturday afternoon, the FSC women's tennis team traveled to Sarah Lawrence for a conference match and earned a 7-0 victory. The Rams improved to 9-4 overall and 5-1 in the Skyline, while the Gryphons dropped to 1-9, 0-6.

The pair of Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Qurat-ul-ain Rai (Lahore, Pakistan) along with Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) and Kayla Reidy (Sayville, N.Y.) each earned 8-1 victories at first and second doubles, respectively. In #3 doubles, FSC's Olivia Stauffer (Huntington, N.Y.) and Savannah Haworth (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) carded an 8-3 win to round out the sweep.

In singles competition, Signore (6-2, 6-0), Reidy (6-0, 6-1), Stauffer (walkover) and Celine Zollinger (Franklin Square, N.Y.) (6-0, 6-0) all tallied victories for the Rams.

Farmingdale State will now play host to Brooklyn College in a non-conference match on Monday, October 10th at 4:30 p.m.
